Helping women dress like the main character of their own life.

Main Character Boutique, founded by Stephanie in 2026, was created due to a life long shopping addiction and a new realization.

Stephanie:
I had lost my whimsy. I had spent years teaching dance and just wearing black leggings and a baggy t-shirt. As a career change took me out of the dance studio more often, I found that I was scared to dress myself in bold colors and patterns. I used to be so bold with how I dressed. I wore a cut off sweatshirt (before it was a trend) because I watched Flash Dance in middle school for the first time, I rocked a men's dress tie because Avril Lavigne did, I turned tube socks into fingerless gloves and wore them on my arms after Britney Spears performed with Aerosmith at the Super Bowl. I often got made fun of at school, but I still did it anyway because I loved to be bold in my fashion choices.

Somewhere along the way, that changed for me and, I think, many women. We lose the ability to be whimsical and bold with our clothing choices, we are scared to make too much noise or draw too much attention. It wasn't until I started really going to town on trying to find my personal style again that I decided to take the whimsy back. MCB was created to help other women do the same.

I find pieces with a lot of care and put them in collections for you to shop mini capsule wardrobes. The intention is to make it easy for you to imagine them in your closet and for you to choose pieces that you normally would shy away from! I want to help women find their own personal style, regain (or build) confidence and bring the whimsicalness of the 90's tv shows and movies BACK into our closets and lives.

Life is too short to wear boring clothes, let Main Character Boutique help you take your wardrobe from side character to the Main Character!

From Stephanie

Life's too short to dress like the side character.

I used to be careful about what I wore, never wanted to draw too much attention or be too bold. Women tend to do that. It's time we take back the whimsy and put it in our wardrobe. Show that confidence, girl. YOU are the Main Character of your own life!
